Our story and heart

At Family Hearts Together, we believe that no child or family should have to navigate a housing crisis alone. Based in Junction City, Oregon, our mission is born from lived experience and driven by heartfelt compassion.

Born from a personal promise

When my grandchildren faced an abrupt transition with nothing but the clothes on their backs—not even shoes—it broke my heart. That gut-wrenching moment inspired a vow: no child in our community should endure upheaval without warmth and dignity. Through our Hearts of comfort kits, tailored for Little Hearts (0–5), Growing Hearts (6–11), and Big Hearts (12–18), we provide handmade blankets, outfits, hygiene necessities, journals, and disposable cameras so kids can focus on finding the good in difficult times.

Walking with you, every step

Years of navigating homelessness taught me the exhausting frustration of being passed from one agency to another, handed endless phone numbers, and told "no." We created Hearts Connect to change that broken cycle. We sit down with families, assess genuine needs, remove systemic barriers, ensure program qualification before referrals, and perform a warm handoff. We stay by your side until your needs are truly met.

Our vision for thriving families

Our dream is simple yet powerful: to keep families together, safe, and flourishing. Life brings severe hardships, but with authentic empathy and sustained support, healing is possible. We are dedicated to being the reliable advocate who stays with you from the first greeting until lasting stability is achieved.

"Nobody should have to navigate a crisis alone. We stand by our families from the moment we say hello until they are back on their feet."
